Greg Martin booked some studio time at Barrick Recording while off the road from The Kentucky Headhunters and invited his long-time pal, Dean Smith, and step-son, Jonny McGee, to join in the fun. He told them, “Let’s just go to Barrick’s and see what happens!” Without a clear plan, the result was an eclectic musical project of 12 tunes written and recorded on the spot—Martin Smith McGee.
